CalChess State Grade Level Championship - Alameda County Fairgrounds
(Saturday/Sunday, December 3/4, 2016)

The Northern California State Grade Level Chess Championships have usually been held in Stockton, California every year. This year they are moving to Pleasanton as we expect 100s of more kids!!! This is a super nice facility! In this tournament you only play and compete against other kids in your same grade. So, 3rd graders play 3rd graders and 7th graders play 7th graders. Grades K-3 play only on Sunday (play 5 games, no elimination). Grades K-12 (beginner and intermediate levels) play only on Saturday (play 5 games, no elimination). Grades 4-12 at the advanced level will play a total of 6 slower games, three on Saturday and three on Sunday. Let's see how many kids we can get from the Central Valley, and put together some teams to compete!
